Privacy Policy

Last updated 22 August 2026

This policy explains what information Skomante collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it short, because we collect very little.

Who we are

Skomante is a small ceramics studio. For the purposes of data protection law, the studio is the controller of the personal data described below. You can reach us using the contact details at the end of this policy.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through the contact form, we collect the name and email address you enter and the message you write. If you enquire from a particular piece's page, we also record which piece you were looking at, so we can answer you in context.

That is the only personal information this site asks for. We do not run advertising or analytics trackers, and browsing the collection sets no cookies that identify you.

How we use it

We use the details from your enquiry for one purpose: to read your message and reply to you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and in taking steps at your request before any possible order.

We do not use your information for marketing, and we never sell it.

Who handles it for us

Your enquiry is stored in our database, hosted by Supabase, and — where email notifications are enabled — a copy is delivered to the studio through the email service Resend. These providers process the data only to run those services on our behalf, under their own security and data-protection commitments. Our website hosting provider also processes the technical request data (such as your IP address) needed to serve the page to you.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to answer you and to keep a reasonable record of our correspondence. When they are no longer needed, we delete them. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.

Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to restrict or object to how we use it. To make a request, just email us.

If you believe we have mishandled your data, you have the right to complain to the State Data Protection Inspectorate (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija) in Lithuania.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, we will update this page and revise the date above.
