Terms of Service

This website belongs to Skomante, a small ceramics studio. It shows the studio's work, lets you enquire about a piece, and — where a piece is offered for direct purchase — lets you buy it and pay online. Which pieces can be bought directly may change at any time; the rest are available by enquiry.

Every piece is thrown and glazed by hand, so each is one of a kind and small variations in size, colour, and finish are part of the making. Photographs are as accurate as we can make them, but the piece you receive will differ a little.

Prices are shown in euros and, together with each piece's availability, may change without notice. Because every piece is one of a kind, a piece can sell or be reserved between your seeing it and your ordering; if a piece you have paid for is no longer available, we refund you in full.

Sending an enquiry through the contact form is a request for information, not an order, and places you under no obligation. Pieces made to order (priced on request), and at times other pieces, are arranged this way: the price, delivery, and terms are agreed directly between you and the studio by correspondence, and a sale is formed only once we confirm it to you.

Where a piece is offered for direct purchase, choosing “Buy now” takes you through delivery and contact details and then to our payment provider to pay. Your order is a binding purchase of that specific piece, and the sale is complete once we receive confirmation that your payment has succeeded.

If your payment cannot be confirmed, or the piece has already sold, no sale is formed and any amount taken is refunded to you.

Online payments are handled by Montonio, our third-party payment provider, on its own secure pages. We never see or store your card or bank details. Payment is taken in euros at the price shown for the piece at the time of your order. Once your payment is confirmed we email you an invoice for your purchase.

You choose delivery at checkout — to a parcel locker, or by courier to an address you give us — and we ship through a third-party carrier (currently Omniva). Any delivery charge is shown before you pay, and delivery times depend on the carrier.

Direct purchases are currently delivered within Lithuania only. If you live elsewhere, please send us an enquiry and we will agree delivery with you directly.

Please check your piece on arrival and, if it reaches you damaged, tell us promptly and keep the packaging, so we can arrange a replacement or refund.

If you are a consumer buying a piece for direct purchase, you may withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason. To withdraw, write to us at the address below within that period; you then return the piece to us within a further 14 days, and the cost of return postage is yours unless we agree otherwise.

Please return the piece unused and in its original condition — each piece is fragile and one of a kind, so pack it as carefully as it reached you. Once we receive it back (or your proof of return), we refund the price you paid, including standard outbound delivery, within 14 days, to the payment method you used, through Montonio.

The right to withdraw does not apply to a piece made or personalised to your specification. None of this affects your statutory rights if a piece is faulty or not as described.

All content on this site — the photographs, text, and the design itself — belongs to the studio and is protected by copyright. You may view and share links to it for personal, non-commercial use, but you may not copy, reproduce, or use it commercially without our written permission.

We take care to keep the site accurate and available, but we make no guarantees that it will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or up to date. To the fullest extent the law allows, the studio is not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site.

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version always lives on this page, with the date above showing when it last changed.

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Lithuania, and any dispute relating to them falls to the Lithuanian courts. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under Lithuanian and EU law.

If we cannot resolve a complaint between us, you may refer it to the State Consumer Rights Protection Authority (Valstybinė vartotojų teisių apsaugos tarnyba, www.vvtat.lt).
